Thank You Volunteers

We would love to thank our wonderful volunteers who took on a couple of big projects this fall! Wray and Lani Landon and Anna and Ken Kirkpatrick took charge of the bluebird boxes at Rainey/ Big Eddy. Not only did they clean them up and repair them in the spring, but they also closed 10 of the boxes off in preparation for moving them this fall. This project involved disassembling the boxes and then reassembling them in a new location.

The bird boxes at Rainey were being used almost exclusively by tree swallows, many of which laid eggs in the boxes. The 10 that were moved went to the Teton Creek Corridor (TCC) Trail where they are more likely to be used by bluebirds. Thank you so much Lani, Wray, Anna, and Ken, not just for your efforts this year, but for all your hard work on bird boxes every year!

We would also like to thank TRLT board members, Ned Corkran and Sarah Ashworth, who took on the project of building a picnic table and bench out at Woods Creek Fen (WCF). Both were generously donated by Sandy Walters in memory of Roy Walters. Thanks to Sandy, Ned, and Sarah, we will all have a place to sit and picnic or just enjoy nature out at WCF in the future.

Please join TRLT in thanking our dedicated volunteers and be sure to check out and enjoy the bird boxes at Rainey and the TCC Trail and the bench and table out at WCF before they get burried by the snow!
