    Teton Valley Trumpeter Swan Project

In 2013, TRLT teamed up with the Idaho Department of Fish and Game, Wyoming Wetlands Society, the US Fish and Wildlife Service, the Trumpeter Swan Society, and a local family for our first release of Trumpeter Swans onto a protected wetland with the goals of establishing a nesting population in Teton Valley.

Since 2013, we’ve worked with project partners and landowners to release 22 Trumpeter Swans in Teton Valley. Besides establishing nesting swans in Teton Valley, the project also hopes to increase summer residency by swans in the valley. Released swans will be wearing either a green neck collar or leg band with white lettering. Please help us keep track of the released swans and other wild swans in Teton Valley by reporting your observations here!
