Vital Wetland in Teton Valley Permanently Protected
We are excited to celebrate the closing of a 140-acre conservation easement along the Teton River, thanks to the incredible partnership of local landowners. They have chosen to keep the land open, with no residential building permissions, so that the property’s wetland resources will be forever protected.
Over one-half mile of spring creeks flow through the property and into the Teton River. Numerous bird species, including Sandhill Crane, Long-billed Curlew, Trumpeter Swan, waterfowl, raptors and songbirds, rely on the property’s wetland habitats, as well as moose and deer. This conservation effort also protects the Teton River’s scenic and ecological integrity, ensuring that the floater, boater, and angler experiences along this beloved waterway remain pristine and accessible.
We deeply appreciate the landowners’ vision to help conserve the Teton River and safeguard the wildlife and recreation opportunities that make our region extraordinary.
