Join us for a speaker event about farm succession planning and soil stewardship with Tim Brockish and Daniel Wilcox.

Tim and Wendy Brockish have 106.99 acres in Madison County protected by conservation easements. The Brockish’s and Daniel Wilcox, their lessee,  share a vision of promoting sustainable agriculture in southeastern Idaho and are working in partnership to implement a framework they hope will serve as a model for other farmers and ranchers in the region who are interested in adopting sustainable soil health practices. Since 2024, Daniel has been leasing the Brockish’s land and just finished year one of a five-year farm plan that will guide land management aimed at improving soil health on conservation easement properties.

The Brockish’s hope to eventually sell the conserved land to Daniel for his sustainable agriculture operation because they believe in his ability to establish a successful sustainable agriculture operation. They have invested in him with land for those practices to grow, and Daniel has helped put the Brockish’s sustainability interests into action. Daniel and the Brockish’s story provides an incredible example of a non-familial farm transfer that demonstrates the importance of collaboration.
